During an intense 10 day program, the participants of Visiting Critics Vienna 2021 organized by Verein K have discovered institutions, galleries, the events Curated By, Steirischer Herbst and have had personal meetings with artists, curators and other actors of the Austrian art scene. Time for a discussion about their perception of art in Austria and their conception of criticism.
Highlights of this year’s curated by and steirischer herbst festivals, diagnosis of current commonplaces within contemporary arts, the spectrum of critical methodologies applied, such as dissociations of criticism from description and serviceability are some of the topics that this public panel aims to discuss with the four international visiting critics.
